about frankie gray
Frankie Gray is an amorphous being currently taking a joyride in a hypermobile human body.
They have never quite fit the mold of what a dancer or aerialist “should” be, so they’ve become like mold instead– varied in texture, constantly growing, and difficult to get rid of… with a fondness for fresh fruit.
A begrudging servant of the Weird Muse, they are obligated to provide you with unsettling moments and flashes of unhinged sincerity, usually delivered through movement (contemporary dance, aerial circus, or physical storytelling).
They hope their work gets you to stop thinking, even if it’s only for a second or two.
Frankie’s movement history has been unconventional. They began their dance training at the ancient, brittle age of 16 and accidentally stumbled into the aerial world at 25. Somewhere between those two events, they graduated from a small liberal arts college with a dance degree, where they gained experience in: somatics, choreography, and modern/contemporary technique.
They are a qualified Pilates teacher (Fletcher Pilates Foundational Program) and bodyworker specializing in myofascial work.
